Roy Harper

Stormcock

UK pressing from 1971 (year of release). Green, boxed EMI Harvest labels. Textured gatefold sleeve with minor wear. Record has a few marks which let out soft here-and-there clicks but nothing of concern. Plays loud and great. Easily best copy I’ve ever found of this folk-rock gem.
From Allmusic: “Harper amalgamated the best elements of associates Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and folk artists like Bert Jansch into a winning stew of thought-provoking acoustic music. … Stormcock represents a truly original vision comprised of oft-heard parts rarely assembled and therefore is on par with other heavyweights from the class of 1971 such as Led Zeppelin IV or Meddle.”
